About
Hi, I'm Sam.
I'm a pre-dental graduate, husband, and father to a terrific daughter. I'm also extremely passionate about the science of learning.
Researchers don’t give specific study strategies; academic culture discourages it. As a student, I had the creative freedom to combine their findings into methods that work in real courses.
It's crazy that this science is hidden from students. Research has uncovered a ton of powerful effectors of learning, like free recall, interleaving, and dual coding.
I spent two years reading this mountain of research, testing it against coursework, and going back to the drawing board again and again.
In the end, I gained an extra day in my weekend. I could study without wasting time or energy. And readers report the same. Some results:

26 AA Dental Admission Test
(99th percentile)

3.97 Undergraduate (biology) GPA
(99th percentile)

Most important of all: more time to spend with my daughter (she's the one on the right...)
