​It seems absurd that studying is still largely inefficient. Research has uncovered a plethora of extremely powerful effectors of learning like free recall, interleaving, and dual coding. But they are little-known, scattered, and most importantly: never translated into actionable steps. ​​​​​​

To build SAM, I spent 2 years researching, testing against rigorous coursework, and going back to the drawing board again and again. I loved every minute of it.

 

An effective system is structured enough so that you always know exactly what to do, but flexible enough where it needs that it can adapt to any domain, hence the 2 years of testing and refining. I knew there had to be a way to turn this mountain of research into a simple, yet adaptable workflow.
